The purpose of this research is: To develop a method of pedagogical intervention that encourages autonomous learning, in students of the specialization in distance higher education of the National Open and Distance University - UNAD CCAV Cúcuta, Colombia, within the framework of transformation digital, as a driving force for the optimization of educational processes and the democratization of access to vocational training. In this work the results of the research project advised by Dr. Gustavo Meneses Rivas will be presented; The focus of the work is oriented towards the pedagogy, the didactics and the curriculum of the ECEDU, with a management of qualitative variable, in which the students of the aforementioned specialization participated. In this research, a descriptive study with a qualitative approach is carried out about the difficulties around the development of autonomous learning, so that from these data it is possible to formulate strategies that favor its acquisition. The target population of the study were the students of the Specialization in Distance Higher Education of the National Open and Distance University -UNAD CCAV Cúcuta, Colombia, from which a sample of 8 volunteer participants was obtained. The data were to be collected through interviews, but due to the pandemic conditions, it was decided to apply a questionnaire via the internet, through the Google Forms application, to which they were provided access by email with the proper instructions. necessary to respond. The methodology used was of an ethnographic type, in which the following phases were proposed: Identification of the problem, completion of a preliminary research project, where the research instrument and the population involved are described, once this phase is completed, the information gathering, processing and analysis to obtain the results with which the final report can be written. The interviews carried out with the 8 volunteers of the Specialization in Distance Higher Education of the National Open and Distance University - UNAD CCAV Cúcuta, Colombia, allowed us to appreciate that the students experience difficulties related to the study habits that they have developed during their experience as interns in other institutions, both basic and higher education that have a traditional instruction model in which the teacher is the center of attention, therefore, being within a new model, without time structures or classes as such from In which to manage their time and work, individuals may experience bewilderment, confusion, anxiety or loss of notion of time, not knowing how to manage it, nor having autonomous study spaces in which to dedicate themselves to reading individually to understand a topic, since these topics have always been interpreted and dictated by the teacher. In this sense, the problems that these students face are not strange and in fact they are expected, since they are representative of the problems that the traditional learning model brings with it, in which individuals require the influence of a specific environment and of a supervisor in the form of a teacher, to allow themselves a space to study and learn, a model completely contrary to autonomous learning, where the student is given the freedom to choose when to learn and to decide where to do it, without the teacher's support to interpret bibliographic information and with a series of challenges that are designed for you to apply your knowledge in the form of small projects. Additionally, it was possible to identify problems with the platform for most of the students, who indicated that it is not easy to use at least during the first weeks or months and that they lack the appropriate support to resolve their concerns, giving themselves the task of exploring the platform by themselves, managing to understand what they can to later fulfill their responsibilities within the course; This is considered negative, since in itself it is quite a challenge to adapt an individual dependent on a structured environment to learn, to become a self-taught person, capable of managing their own knowledge, so it is necessary to adopt measures much more effective, either technically improving the distribution of resources within the virtual campus or offering much more effective and empathetic support services with new users that transforms the services of the page into an advantageous resource and not a frustrating obstacle. In this way, the first specific objective is considered as fulfilled, since it was possible to carry out a diagnosis of the students' experience both with the new way of learning and with respect to the use of the platform, which was the most frequently mentioned problem among the students. participants and therefore deserves a mention despite being beyond the scope of the research; However, it is considered that from the development of autonomy in learning, students will be much better able to overcome this difficulty, so it is also taken into account as an aspect to which the proposed methodology must respond. Later in the development of the second specific objective, it was possible to reach a better understanding of what distance education means, how it originates and how it is integrated into technological environments, to become a model for which autonomous learning is a fundamental skill. Likewise, the needs of the student who participates in the distance model were raised and must be integrated into the form of autonomous learning, which is summarized in the need to put it at the center of the process, allowing this interpreter to explore and learn from Independently, but not neglected, since of course the teacher must fulfill an important role as a guide and manager of learning that provides strategies and meta-cognitive techniques to the learner. Finally, and as part of the development of the third objective, a series of actions were implemented aimed at making the experience of the students with respect to the use of ICT tools much more enjoyable, building an alternative space outside the main platform to which they They could go to interact much more easily with their classmates and teachers, in addition to coordinating to carry out the proposed activities and learn about virtual tools that would ensure meaningful experiences, given the quality of the content and the possibilities of interaction that each program allows. With these actions, it is expected that students not only achieve a much easier experience of access to university resources, but also use this alternative platform as a form of training to learn about web spaces and learn to function in the main platform in a much more competent way, getting to know most of the tools available there and why they are important, since they are there for the benefit of the student's experience and learning to use them will represent a significant advantage for the student. performance that the student could achieve. This strategy is based on the fact that contact with the institution through the main platform is usually very complicated, especially for less experienced students and therefore excluding segments of the population in a much more urgent search for opportunities. Therefore, it is proposed to address the use of ICT in the learning process from a much more common, simple and intuitive environment such as blogging pages, from which the student will acquire additional experience and support in case of need it, to understand this new way of relating to knowledge that is the distance modality with an emphasis on autonomous learning.
