dc.description.abstractEste trabajo abordó el empoderamiento en jóvenes del Centro de Gestión Agroempresarial del Oriente (CGAO) del SENA, en el municipio de Vélez, Santander. Es una investigación de enfoque mixto el cual implicó utilizar dos técnicas de recolección de información. Su diseño fue el exploratorio secuencial. Se aplicaron dos instrumentos, primero, se utilizó el sistema abierto de indicadores de empoderamiento individual y comunitario propuesto por (Soler et al., 2014). En dicha escala se midieron catorce variables, a partir de 36 indicadores, aplicado a 123 jóvenes. Seguidamente, se realizó una entrevista semi estructurada a partir de preguntas orientadoras basadas en Llena-berñe et al., (2017) con 10 jóvenes seleccionados reconocidos por su liderazgo. Los resultados muestran que los jóvenes se sienten mayormente empoderados en espacios de la familia, el ámbito estudiantil, el trabajo, la vida cotidiana y el barrio, lugar de su residencia. Los aspectos que dificultan el empoderamiento en los jóvenes son la falta de inclusión, baja autoestima y el poco de reconocimiento. El empoderamiento predominante es el nivel medio alto y las tres variables significativas son: autoestima, reconocimiento e inclusión con un “Nivel Medio Bajo”. Finalmente, se refieren algunas recomendaciones para su afianzamiento en la población juvenil.

dc.description.abstractenglishThis work addressed the empowerment of young people from the Agribusiness Management Center del Oriente (CGAO) of the SENA, in the municipality of Vélez, Santander. It is an investigation of mixed approach which implied using two information gathering techniques. His design was the sequential exploratory. Two instruments were applied, first, the open system of indicators of individual and community empowerment proposed by (Soler et al., 2014). In This scale was measured fourteen variables, from 36 indicators, applied to 123 young people. Next, a semi-structured interview was conducted based on guiding questions based on Llena-berñe et al., (2017) with 10 selected young people recognized for their leadership. The results show that young people feel mostly empowered in spaces of the family, the student environment, work, daily life and the neighborhood, place of residence. The aspects that hinder the empowerment of young people are the lack of inclusion, low self esteem and little recognition. The predominant empowerment is the medium-high level and the three significant variables are: self-esteem, recognition and inclusion with a “Medium Level Low". Finally, some recommendations are made for its consolidation in the population.
