| dc.description.abstractenglish | The present paper addresses the research carried out in Emersopo on the improvement of the use of water resources in the municipality of Sopó, Cundinamarca department. For this, data on the program of efficient use and saving of water were studied and collected in order to propose solutions and alternatives to excessive consumption and waste of water, thus guaranteeing the availability of the water resource, all this under the implementation of an environmental program. Consequently, the following aspects are taken into account: Description of the water supply and demand and current uses of water in Colombia, later will include educational and training components that allow the control and monitoring of the proper development of the program. The methodologies of the program are based on the guidelines given by the Guide for Saving and Efficient Use of Water (2002) issued by the Ministry of Environment Housing and Territorial Development, currently Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development. | spa |
