| dc.description.abstract | El propósito del proyecto fue el diseño de un arboreto o arboretum (del latín arborētum) para el año escolar 2017, en el Colegio Cerezos Grandes del municipio de Chipaque - Cundinamarca, con el fin de incentivar en los estudiantes y la comunidad en general, el estudio y conservación de las diferentes especies vegetales nativas que se encontraron en la zona. Para esto, se hizo necesario constituir un grupo de trabajo sólido con estudiantes, docentes y padres de familia interesados en llevar a cabo el arboretum. Un arboretum se constituye como un lugar organizado en el que se estudian y conservan las especies arbóreas nativas y productivas para darlas a conocer al público. En este caso, las condiciones climáticas y topográficas permitieron optar por un arboreto de bosque alto andino. La primera fase del proyecto consistió en un reconocimiento de las especies forestales representativas de la región y la definición de aquellas que serán incluidas en el proyecto teniendo en cuenta aspectos como los beneficios ambientales y ecológicos de la especie, la importancia socioeconómica y la importancia cultural. Posteriormente, con base en la información anterior, se procedió a diseñar el arboretum considerando las características del sitio y las características de las especies seleccionadas. El propósito final con el diseño del arboretum, fue establecer los lineamientos para el establecimiento de un escenario mediante el cual se pueda promover la conciencia ecológica a toda la comunidad académica (profesores, estudiantes, padres de familia, administrativos) a tal nivel de que haga eco en el municipio entero y así ayudar a reconocer y preservar el capital forestal nativo del municipio. | spa |

| dc.description.abstractenglish | The purpose of the project was the design of an arboretum or arboretum (from the Latin arborētum) for the 2017 school year, at Colegio Cerezos Grandes in the municipality of Chipaque - Cundinamarca, to encourage students and the community in general, study and conservation of the different native plant species that were found in the area. For this, it became necessary to establish a solid working group with students, teachers and parents interested in carrying out the arboretum. This was basically an organized place in which native and productive tree species are studied and conserved to make them known to a possible public. In this case, the climatic and topographic conditions allow to opt for a high Andean arboretum. The first phase of the project consisted in a recognition of the representative forest species of the region and the definition of those that will be included in the project considering aspects such as environmental and ecological benefits of the species, socio-economic importance and cultural importance. Subsequently, based on the previous information, the arboretum was designed considering the characteristics of the site and the characteristics of the selected species. Finally, the idea with the design of the arboretum is to give an injection of ecological awareness to the entire academic community (teachers, students, parents, administrative) at such a level that it echoes in the entire municipality and thus help to recognize and preserve the native forest capital of the municipality. | spa |
