| dc.description.abstract | En los últimos diez años la industria del cemento en Colombia ha presentado comportamientos volátiles, e inesperados registrando crecimientos considerables a finales de los noventa, después fluctuando hacia una crisis en 2005 y en adelante un crecimiento persistente hasta hoy. (Delrieu J. y Rodríguez N., s.f) Esta es una empresa suiza, líder en el suministro de cementos y áridos (piedra caliza, arena y grava) así como otros materiales como hormigón, premezclado y combustibles alternativos. Durante el año 2005, desarrollo diferentes acciones en las plantas de producción de cemento, concreto y agregados, respecto a los cuatro elementos naturales: mantenimiento y actualización de los equipos para tener una operación más limpia, riguroso control de emisiones, estricto cumplimiento de las normas ambientales vigentes, recuperación de las zonas aledañas, y el servicio de co-procesamiento de residuos industriales en el horno cementero, bajo estrictas condiciones de control. Es importante mencionar que los valores alcanzados, según las mediciones respectivas están en general por debajo de los límites permitidos, y son mejores que el año anterior, lo que evidencia la efectividad del proceso de mejora continua. Es así como tiene el compromiso de mantener altos niveles de calidad y servicio en la producción de cemento, concretos y agregados, tiene como objetivo cumplir con los requisitos legales, siendo la primera empresa cementera del país en recibir del Icontec la Certificación de Administración Ambiental ISO 14001, para las actividades de producción de cemento en la planta Nobsa, y las operaciones mineras de Nobsa, Iza, Suescún y Tibasosa, y ser la primera planta de agregados en recibir la misma distinción por explotación y trituración de agregados pétreos en las operaciones de Manas y Chocontá. | dc.description.abstractenglish | In the last ten years, the cement industry in Colombia has exhibited volatile and unexpected behaviors, registering considerable growth at the end of the nineties, after fluctuating towards a crisis in 2005 and thereafter a persistent growth until today. (Delrieu J. and Rodríguez N., s.f) This is a Swiss company, leader in the supply of cements and aggregates (limestone, sand and gravel) as well as other materials such as concrete, ready-mix and alternative fuels. During 2005, it carried out different actions in the cement, concrete and aggregates production plants, with respect to the four natural elements: maintenance and updating of equipment to have a cleaner operation, rigorous control of emissions, strict compliance with regulations environmental regulations, recovery of the surrounding areas, and the industrial waste co-processing service in the cement kiln, under strict control conditions. (Holcim, Colombia S.A.) It is important to mention that the values reached, according to the respective measurements, are generally below the permitted limits, and are better than the previous year, which shows the effectiveness of the continuous improvement process. This is how it is committed to maintaining high levels of quality and service in the production of cement, concrete and aggregates, its objective is to comply with legal requirements, being the first cement company in the country to receive from the Icontec the ISO Environmental Management Certification 14001, for the cement production activities at the Nobsa plant, and the Nobsa, Iza, Suescún and Tibasosa mining operations, and being the first aggregates plant to receive the same distinction for exploitation and crushing of stone aggregates in the operations of Manas and Chocontá.
