Description:	This article of reflection raises one of the possible courses in the path of creation, consolidation and projection of the AVI network (Art, Virtuality and Research). Which, appears as a network of joint efforts between teachers and coordinators of virtual or distance art programs, with the support of entities in the field of production and artistic circulation. Trying on its way, not neglecting the formats and manners of meeting that its members consider characteristic of the artistic field, but still articulating the changing forms of production and legitimization posed by academic research and production entities at a higher level. Which means constantly wondering about the concept of artistic education or arts training in the university environment, and how they appear in it, moments of creation and artistic circulation, of Research-creation and work with different sectors of society. Especially, with the powers and particularities of the university modalities of distance and virtuality. Thus evidencing the complexity and richness of research and production in this field El presente artículo de reflexión plantea uno de las perspectivas posibles acerca del recorrido de creación, consolidación y proyección de la Red AVI (Arte, Virtualidad e Investigación). Esta constituye una red de esfuerzos mancomunados entre docentes, coordinadores de programas virtuales o a distancia en arte, con el apoyo de entidades del campo de la producción y circulación artística. Sin dejar de lado los formatos y las maneras de encuentro que sus miembros consideran propios del campo artístico, la Red AVI se ha articulado a las cambiantes formas de producción y legitimación que plantean las entidades de investigación y producción académica a nivel superior. Lo anterior, lleva a preguntarse constantemente por el concepto de educación artística o formación en artes en el ambiente universitario, y cómo aparecen en ella, momentos de creación y circulación artística, de investigación-creación2 y trabajo con diferentes sectores de la sociedad. En este caso, se enfatiza en las potencias y particularidades de las modalidades universitarias de distancia y virtualidad, lo que evidencia la complejidad y riqueza de la investigación y producción en este campo.
