| dc.description.abstract | La ISO 14001 es una norma que permite a las organizaciones tener un conocimiento detallado de sus aspectos ambientales, su problemática ambiental, riesgos y oportunidades, logrando establecer de manera coordinada su interacción con el ambiente y las condiciones internas y externas de su contexto. Así mismo, facilita la identificación de las necesidades y expectativas de las partes interesadas que pueden afectar el desempeño ambiental dela empresa. Este estándar conlleva a la generación de acciones y la implementación de estrategias que contribuyan a la protección del ambiente y la prevención de la contaminación. Este estudio de caso plantea la revisión de un Sistema de Gestión bajo los requisitos de la norma ISO 14001:2015, diagnosticando el nivel de madurez y eficacia del Sistema de Gestión Ambiental de la Institución Educativa, identificando su grado de conveniencia, aspectos ambientales significativos, cumplimiento de requisitos legales e implementación de estrategias de control. La institución implementa su Sistema de Gestión Ambiental bajo los lineamientos de la ISO 14001, contribuyendo a la generación de buenas prácticas ambientales enmarcadas dentro del ciclo PHVA y favoreciendo la identificación de oportunidades de mejora que permita el cierre de brechas y lograr los resultados previstos. La institución categoriza sus aspectos ambientales determinando como significativo la generación de vertimientos, ya que, actualmente se cuenta con Planta de Tratamiento de Aguas Residuales – PTAR – y sistemas de pretratamiento y tratamiento tales como: trampas de grasa, tanques sépticos y lagunas de oxidación, sin embargo, la PTAR no se encuentra en funcionamiento, vertiendo de forma directa sus aguas residuales a fuente superficial. | |

| dc.description.abstractenglish | ISO 14001 is a standard that allows organizations to have a detailed knowledge of their environmental aspects, their environmental problems, risks and opportunities, managing to establish in a coordinated way their interaction with the environment and the internal and external conditions of their context. Likewise, it facilitates the identification of the needs and expectations of the interested parties that may affect the company's environmental performance. This standard leads to the generation of actions and the implementation of strategies that contribute to the protection of the environment and the prevention of pollution. This case study proposes the review of a Management System under the requirements of the ISO 14001: 2015 standard, diagnosing the level of maturity and effectiveness of the Environmental Management System of the Educational Institution, identifying its degree of convenience, significant environmental aspects, compliance with legal requirements and implementation of control strategies. The institution implements its Environmental Management System under the guidelines of ISO 14001, contributing to the generation of good environmental practices framed within the PHVA cycle and favoring the identification of opportunities for improvement that allows the closing of gaps and achieving the expected results. The institution categorizes its environmental aspects determining as significant the generation of discharges, since, currently, it has a Wastewater Treatment Plant - WWTP - and pre-treatment and treatment systems such as: grease traps, septic tanks and oxidation ponds, However, the WWTP is not in operation, directly discharging its wastewater to a surface source. | |
