| Description: | Introduction: This article presents a study on the historical information and evolution of incoming and outgoing direct foreign investment flows from Colombia for the years 2014-2018. Methodology: special emphasis is placed on outgoing (outflows) investment flows over which there are no recent academic studies and that without a doubt for organizations, theoretical references and the government itself can be decisive for the country's private companies and for certain, for the economy itself. Results: the study presents the information by economic sector and country making use of different instruments and information gathering techniques. Conclusions: we conclude not only in the historical behavior, but also in opportunities for improvement that can be taken advantage of by the agents involved to improve the dynamics and effects of foreign direct investment in the country. Introducción: este artículo presenta un estudio al comportamiento y la evolución de los flujos de inversión extranjera directa entrante y saliente de Colombia para los años 2014-2018. Metodología: se estudian los flujos de inversión salientes (outflows) sobre los cuales no existen estudios académicos recientes y que, sin lugar a duda para organizaciones, referentes teóricos y el gobierno mismo pueden ser determinantes para el fortalecimiento del sector empresarial del país y por consiguiente, de la economía misma. Resultados: el estudio encontró y prensentá la información por sector económico y país haciendo uso de diferentes instrumentos y técnicas de recolección de información. Conclusiones: se concluye que las oportunidades de mejora pueden ser aprovechadas por los agentes involucrados para mejorar la dinámica y efectos de la inversión extranjera directa en el país. |
