Description:	This work intends to be a guide to the mayors who wish to implement a competence center when incorporating (ERP) an information system that allows the integration of certain operations within an organization, so the Benchmarking tool will compare the two centers of competencies with the purpose of knowing their best practices, their methodologies, for this, topics characteristic of the SAP-related competence centers will be covered: SAP selection Work team for implementation Creation of a competence center Principles, policies and guidelines Organizational capacity Organizational structure Service catalog Knowledge management Change management El presente artículo consiste en la realización de un análisis por medio de la herramienta benchmarking sobre el modelo de gestión del centro de competencias en la implementación de ERP en las Alcaldías de Cali y Medellín. Este trabajo pretende ser una guía a las alcaldías que deseen implementar un centro de competencias al momento de incorporar ERP, un sistema de información que permite la integración de ciertas operaciones dentro de una organización, por lo cual la herramienta benchmarking comparara los dos centros de competencias con el propósito de saber sus mejores prácticas y sus metodologías, para lo cual se abarcarán temas característicos de los centros de competencias relacionados con SAP: Selección de SAP Equipo de trabajo para la implementación Creación centro de competencias Principios, políticas y lineamientos Capacidad organizacional Estructura organizacional Catálogo de servicios Gestión del conocimiento Gestión del cambio
