| dc.description.abstractenglish | The choir, as instrumental group, takes advantage over the versatility of the human voices to create unique and characteristic sounds. It is a vehicle to construct community, and this has been present through the history of the music. The “Boyacense” folk music, called “Carranguera” it is not a guest among the choir´s world because there is not a broadcast of this musical style or, simply, there are not many musical arrangements for this mentioned music to choirs; this fact itself is not negative to the music, instead, it is a potential source to produce an innovative work to be sung by choir. The “carraguera” music was born during the seventies thanks to the Master Jorge Velosa (who is its highest representative), this music genre summarizes the culture of the “Cundiboyacense” region (central region of Colombia), and it becomes into a rich source to great repertoires and formats that can be made up to choirs and orchestras. Having in mind these facts, it is proposed the creation of 4 choir´s arrangements to a 4 voces choir (SATB) based on the work by the Master Velosa, by this, it is searched the birth of new sounds and give a humble homage to his contribution to the Colombian Music, with the aims to promote this music in other environments and wide the choirs ‘repertoire to this format, based over a kind of music that shows several possibilities to its production and the joy to be sung by a choir. | |
