| dc.description.abstract | La malaria es un problema de salud que debemos tener muy presente y no bajar la guardia al momento de su tratamiento y prevención, se espera poder aportar para generar conocimiento en el siguiente trabajo, sobre este problema de salud y dar a conocer la importancia que tiene, poder conocer e identificar el número de personas que la padecen y las diferentes causas sociales que generan esta enfermedad en la población del área urbana del municipio de Tumaco Nariño. La malaria o paludismo es producida o contraída por protozoarios, al transmitirse a las personas por la picadura del mosquito Anopheles. Actualmente se reconocen 4 especies de Plasmodium causantes de malaria humana, P. falciparum, P. vivax, P. malariae y P. ovale. Se pueden observar barios síntomas, en general se puede padecer de fiebre, escalofríos y sudoración. El paludismo está clasificado como un problema de salud pública, por sus altas cifras de morbilidad y mortalidad, se conocen datos de hasta 457 millones de contagiados por la malaria a nivel mundial, se evidencia un importante un aumento del 26% de los casos en la región de Latinoamérica. Para Colombia en el año 2019 en el departamento de Nariño, se documentaron 16931 de personas con paludismo, de los cuales 2100 eran habitantes del municipio de Tumaco. | |

Currently, 4 species of Plasmodium are recognized as causing human malaria, P. falciparum, P. vivax, P. malariae and P. ovale. You can see barium symptoms, in general you can suffer from fever, chills and sweating. Malaria is classified as a public health problem, due to its high morbidity and mortality figures, data are known of up to 457 million infected by malaria worldwide, there is evidence of a significant increase of 26% of cases in the Latin American region. For Colombia in 2019 in the department of Nariño, 16931 people with malaria were documented, of which 2100 were inhabitants of the municipality of Tumaco. | |
