Description:	The university-enterprise relationship assumes that universities (higher education institutions) must develop strategies and actions that stimulate research and development to strengthen the growth of their actors and contribute to enterprises the sum of knowledge that supports the solution of their problems. Interdisciplinarity and transdisciplinarity are fundamental criteria for solving real problems in a comprehensive way. The literature shows that applied research in universities does not assume these considerations to develop its work and does not allow it to offer integral solutions to the company, a task that real sector suppliers do. Taking as a review case the logistics discipline and the way it is adopted by solution providers, we comment, based on the empirical experience in international meeting places of suppliers and entrepreneurs, aspects that distinguish the exchange of information between companies, aspects of interest, these practices could be replicable, so that in the academy, these practices could be replicable, so that in the academy, research groups adopt similar processes seeking an approach to problem solving as adopted by suppliers in the real sector, their work structure and the development of integral solutions to the industry, assuming first of all interdisciplinary work mechanisms with a holistic approach to support, Research groups adopt similar processes seeking an approach to problem solving as adopted by suppliers in the real sector, their work structure and the development of integral solutions to industry, assuming primarily interdisciplinary work mechanisms with a holistic approach that support the development of the mandate that universities must develop in their relationship within the triple hélix. La relación Universidad-Empresa asume que las IES (Instituciones de Educación Superior), deben crear estrategias y acciones que estimulen la investigación y el desarrollo para fortalecer el crecimiento de sus actores y aporten a la empresa la suma de saberes que apoyen a la solución a sus problemas. La interdisciplinariedad y la transdisciplinariedad son criterios fundamentales para solucionar con integralidad los problemas reales. La literatura indica que la investigación aplicada en las IES no asume estas consideraciones para desarrollar sus labores y no le permite hacer ofrecimiento de soluciones integrales a la empresa, labor que si hacen los proveedores del sector real. Tomando como caso de revisión la disciplina logística y la forma como esta es asumida por los proveedores de soluciones, se comentan, con base en la vivencia experiencial en sitios de encuentro internacional de proveedores y empresarios, aspectos que distinguen al intercambio de información entre empresas aspectos de interés, estas prácticas podrían ser replicables para que en la academia, los grupos de investigación adopten procesos similares buscando un enfoque hacia la solución de problemas tal como lo adoptan los proveedores en el sector real, su estructura de trabajo y el desarrollo de soluciones integrales a la industria, asumiendo en primera instancia mecanismos de trabajo interdisciplinar con enfoque holístico que apoyen el mandato que deben desarrollar las IES frente a su relación dentro de la triple hélice.
