| Description: | National development strategies undoubtedly affect the socioeconomic reality of the state. In this study we have analyzed extractivism (extraction and export of raw materials) in its modalities, classical extractivism and neo-extractivism, as strategies followed by Chile and Bolivia respectively. To carry out the analysis, macroeconomic data from both states have been compared in order to understand how extractivism works and its socio-economic consequences. All framed in the context of the debate on how the states of the global south can overcome underdevelopment. Las estrategias de desarrollo nacional, sin duda, afectan a la realidad socioeconómica de los Estados. En el presente estudio se analizó el Extractivismo, es decir la extracción y exportación de materias primas, en sus modalidades, extractivismo clásico y neoextractivismo, como estrategias seguidas por Chile y Bolivia, respectivamente. Para realizar el análisis se compararon datos macroeconómicos de ambos Estados con el objetivo de entender cómo funcionan y cuáles son las consecuencias socioeconómicas que tienen los extractivismos. Todo esto en el marco del debate sobre cómo los Estados del sur global pueden mejorar sus tasas de pobreza y desigualdad. |
