| dc.description.abstract | Resumen El trabajo de investigación se centra en las estrategias desde la práctica farmacéutica para prevenir interacciones medicamentosas y eventos adversos en América Latina, se resalta la importancia de implementar programas de farmacovigilancia activa dentro del establecimiento donde se prestan servicios farmacéuticos. Se identifican desafíos y estrategias para ante la necesidad de fortalecer el rol profesional del regente de farmacia en los procesos generales del servicio farmacéutico para identificar, controlar y prevenir eventos adversos con medicamentos, tanto a nivel nacional como a nivel internacional. El estudio de investigación se centra ante necesidad de generar evidencia científica sólida para el estudio y la toma de decisiones, frente al uso de los medicamentos de forma segura en los tratamientos médicos. Con principal enfoque desde el rol del farmaceuta en la implementación, fortalecimiento y mantenimiento de forma activa de los sistemas de farmacovigilancia, mediante una cultura de identificación y reporte de eventos adversos, como estrategia principal en la garantía de la protección de la salud humana en el contexto latinoamericano. | dc.description.abstractenglish | Abstract The research work focuses on the strategies from the pharmaceutical practice to prevent drug interactions and adverse events in Latin America, highlighting the importance of implementing active pharmacovigilance programs within the establishment where pharmaceutical services are provided. Challenges and strategies are identified in response to the need to strengthen the professional role of the pharmacy manager in the general processes of the pharmaceutical service to identify, control and prevent adverse events with medications, both nationally and internationally. The research study focuses on the need to generate solid scientific evidence for the study and decision making, regarding the safe use of medications in medical treatments. With a main focus on the role of the pharmacist in the implementation, strengthening and active maintenance of pharmacovigilance systems, through a culture of identification and reporting of adverse events, as the main strategy in ensuring the protection of human health in the Latin American context.
