| dc.description.abstract | Con relación a la infección respiratoria aguda la (OMS, 2007) señala que: En la actualidad se ha convertido en un desafío importante para muchas regiones del mundo, entre ellas el Corregimiento de Puerto Salazar (Chigorodó) municipios de Istmina en el Departamento del Choco; esta enfermedad afecta en especial a los niños menores de 5 años, de acuerdo a los factores de riesgo como: Pobreza y falta de acceso a servicios de salud de calidad; malnutrición y desnutrición; falta de vacunación y atención médica oportuna; contaminación ambiental y falta de acceso al agua potable; prevalencia de enfermedades crónicas como la malaria y la tuberculosis; continuaran siendo determinantes en la mortalidad infantil. Con este trabajo pretendemos, generar una propuesta de intervención con el ánimo de reducir el impacto en la salud de la población menor de 5 años; por lo tanto una vez consultado el Análisis de Situación en Salud del Departamento, realizamos la respectiva búsqueda de la literatura relacionada sobre prevalencia, incidencia epidemiologia y porcentaje de población afectada y de acuerdo a esta investigación nos proponemos generar una propuesta de intervención integral que coordine acciones urgentes y con todos los actores para garantizar el bienestar y bajar los índices de morbimortalidad por infección respiratoria aguda de los niños menores de 5 años del corregimiento propuesto, además proponer implementar acciones como programas de vacunación y atención medida preventiva, mejorar la infraestructura y equipamientos de los centros de salud de la zona, capacitar al personal de salud en el manejo de la IRA y fortalecer la vigilancia epidemiológica y respuesta rápida a brotes. With this work we intend to generate an intervention proposal with the aim of reducing the impact on the health of the population under 5 years of age; Therefore, once we have consulted the Health Situation Analysis of the Department, we carry out the respective search for the related literature on prevalence, epidemiological incidence and percentage of the affected population and according to this research we propose to generate a comprehensive intervention proposal that coordinates actions urgent and with all the actors to guarantee the well-being and lower the morbidity and mortality rates due to acute respiratory infection of children under 5 years of age in the proposed township, in addition to proposing to implement actions such as vaccination programs and preventive care, improve infrastructure and equipment of health centers in the area, train health personnel in the management of ARI and strengthen epidemiological surveillance and rapid response to outbreaks.
