| dc.description.abstract | El proyecto tiene como objetivo implementar una estrategia integral para la prevención, diagnóstico y tratamiento del VIH/SIDA en los departamentos de Quindío y Risaralda, abordando los principales desafíos relacionados con esta epidemia. La propuesta está orientada a reducir la incidencia de nuevos casos mediante campañas de educación en salud sexual, acceso a métodos de prevención como preservativos y profilaxis preexposición (PrEP), y fortalecimiento del diagnóstico temprano con pruebas rápidas, priorizando a poblaciones clave como jóvenes, trabajadores sexuales, personas transgénero y hombres que tienen sexo con hombres. Asimismo, busca eliminar el estigma y la discriminación asociados al VIH a través de sensibilización comunitaria y capacitación en atención inclusiva para los profesionales de la salud. Este enfoque está alineado con los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible (ODS) y el Plan Decenal de Salud Pública, asegurando una respuesta efectiva, equitativa y costo-efectiva al VIH/SIDA, mejorando tanto la calidad de vida de las personas afectadas como la sostenibilidad del sistema de salud en estas regiones. | |

| dc.description.abstractenglish | The project aims to implement a comprehensive strategy for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of HIV/AIDS in the departments of Quindío and Risaralda, addressing the main challenges related to this epidemic. The proposal is aimed at reducing the incidence of new cases through sexual health education campaigns, access to prevention methods such as condoms and pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP), and strengthening early diagnosis with quick tests, prioritizing key populations such as young people, sex workers, transgender people and men who have sex with men. It also looking for eliminate the stigma and discrimination associated with HIV through community awareness and training in inclusive care for health professionals. This approach is aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and the Ten-Year Public Health Plan, ensuring an effective, equitable and cost-effective response to HIV/AIDS, improving both the quality of life of those affected and the sustainability of the health system in these regions. | |
