| dc.description.abstractenglish | The municipality of Une, in Cundinamarca, Colombia, faces significant challenges in healthcare coverage and equity, despite local government efforts to improve infrastructure and achieve a 98% insurance coverage rate. Notable gaps in access to health services persist, particularly in rural areas and among vulnerable populations, due to socioeconomic, demographic, and geographic factors. These issues limit the municipality's ability to provide effective and equitable vaccination services to the entire population. The main objective of this research is to determine the effectiveness of public vaccination policies implemented in Une during the period 2020-2023, with a focus on improving coverage, equitable access, and compliance with the vaccination schedule. To achieve this, barriers and facilitators in the implementation of these policies will be identified, and the efficiency and effectiveness of vaccination and health promotion campaigns will be analyzed. Additionally, recommendations based on the findings will be generated to guide the formulation and execution of future health policies in the municipality. The document is organized into several sections: first, the problem statement contextualizes the challenges in vaccination and healthcare access in Une, describing the current state of infrastructure and health policies. The justification addresses the need for research to improve the well-being of the population by critically evaluating existing policies. The study's objectives, both general and specific, are detailed with a focus on identifying barriers and facilitators, analyzing policy efficiency, and formulating recommendations. The literature review examines relevant studies and similar research conducted in other contexts, providing a framework for the investigation. The conceptual and theoretical framework defines key concepts and theories, such as public health, health equity, and public policy management. The methodology outlines the mixed approach used, including data collection techniques, analysis procedures, and the activity timeline. Keywords: Equity, health policies, health promotion, health services, infrastructure | |
