The security of GNU/Linux systems is crucial for protecting the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of information. This article examines the implementation and maintenance of security measures in GNU/Linux environments, focusing on the configuration of systems and virtualized networks using Endian UTM in VirtualBox. It addresses two main themes: the configuration of the GNU/Linux Endian instance, which includes the segmentation of networks into green (LAN), red (WAN), and orange (DMZ) zones, and the configuration of NAT to facilitate communication between these networks. Through best practices, specialized tools, and appropriate configurations, the goal is to establish a secure and efficient environment. The implementation of this architecture not only enhances perimeter security but also promotes a proactive culture of information security, making it a cost-effective option for various organizations.
