| Description: | This paper is the result of an inquiry on communication practices practiced by youth in their daily lives, which are mediated by technological devices, such as the Internet, cell phones, MP3 players and iPods. Thus, ties and strains are made evident within those communication practices, as well as the changes in the individuals’ relationships and their link to school (particularly college), and the resulting changes in communication practices and environments. Este artículo es resultado de la indagación sobre las prácticas comunicativas de los jóvenes en su vida cotidiana, mediadas por dispositivos tecnológicos como internet, el celular, los MP3 y los Ipod. De esta forma se evidencian las relaciones y tensiones que se dan en dicha prácticas, así como los cambios en las relaciones entre los sujetos y los vínculos con la escuela (en particular la universidad), y la transformación de las prácticas y los entornos comunicativos resultantes. |
