Description:	Knowledge management is considered a vital issue for all sectors in terms of what it means, how it is conceived and how it should be managed to be efficiently exploited. Thus, university is called to create opportunities for interaction with State and business sectors by applying strategies supported on sustainable and self-sustaining projects to meet the needs of the local and regional educational communities. In order to do this, in the framework of UNAD’s mision, the experiences developed by Arbelaez CEAD, leading to the consolidation of a Knowledge Management Centre, are presented here. La gestión del conocimiento es considerada una temática vital para todos los sectores, en términos de cuál es su significado, cómo se concibe y de cómo debe ser gestionada para ser aprovechada eficientemente; la universidad está llamada a generar espacios de interacción con el Estado y la empresa utilizando estrategias que mediante proyectos sustentables y auto sostenidos que surjan desde las necesidades de la comunidad educativa, local y regional, transformen e impacten las dinámicas regionales y comunitarias. En este sentido y enmarcadas dentro de la misión de la UNAD, se presentan las experiencias desarrolladas desde el CEAD de Arbeláez, las cuales, conducen a la consolidación de un Centro de Gestión de Conocimiento.
