dc.description	This paper is the result of a dedicated research based on the collective memory and wealthiness of the traditional events, symbols and representations of the festivities in honour of the sun; which provide for the construction of historical events and the identity formation,. It should be pointed out that from time immemorial our indigenous pay solemn tributes to the sun, offering a sacred, magical and religious respect as their maximum deity. As their god, provided life and enlighten nature putting away darkness. For that reason, in many places worldwide this tradition is still preserved and the festivities hold the significant name as the solstice sun or festivities of the Sun, becoming the perfect scenario for anciant events. Apart from being a cultural lineage of a profound ritual significance for de indigenous and for the present communities or groups, these expressions have a strong social commitment; Which not only influence a feeling of identity and continuity but also are a real melting pot of the cultural diversity, inherent in the living heritage which permanently evolves and at the same time, is threaten by the influences of globalization as well as the different conflicts that convene the cultural disintegration.	en
dc.description	Considerando que la fiesta, es un acto creador, que convoca un escenario de complejas temáticas propias del sistema cultural y que en su conjunto representan la construcción identitaria de una comunidad, este documento pretende dar a conocer los acontecimientos festivos que se realizan a través de las Fiestas del Huan, en Sogamoso la Ciudad del Sol, los cuales evocan elementos ancestrales que entrelazan la memoria colectiva de ritos, prácticas y manifestaciones de los aborígenes chibchas, buscando revalorizar durante sus celebraciones anuales la riqueza simbólica y representativa de sus festejos para poder mantener vivo el patrimonio de la región.Reconociendo la fragilidad y el peligro que corren ciertas formas culturales, frente a múltiples factores, se pretende evitar la perdida de sus aspectos y del valor cultural que estos poseen, dando a conocer estas expresiones del patrimonio tradicional indígena, los cuales se han plasmado en estructuras festivas relacionadas con lo ritual, adaptándose a figuras posmodernas de tal manera que buscan ser rescatadas en acontecimientos de salvaguardia que generen respeto y conservación logrando mediante la realización de estos fastos que se mantengan como un legado integrador de crecimiento cultural popular como una experiencia colectiva de sincretismo sociocultural.Estos linajes culturales, mantienen un profundo significado para las comunidades, pues, no solo infunden un sentimiento de identidad y continuidad sino que además son un autentico crisol de la diversidad cultural, inherentes al patrimonio vivo, el cual evoluciona constantemente, pero que se ven amenazados por las repercusiones actuales y por los diversos conflictos que convocan a su disgregación cultural.	es
