Description:	Las tecnologías de la información y la comunicación (TIC) en Colombia, han experimentado un gran crecimiento y avance en los últimos años en términos de infraestructura digital, conectividad y adopción de tecnologías digitales en sectores como el educativo, permitiendo a los estudiantes adquirir las competencias necesarias para enfrentar los desafíos del siglo XXI y contribuir al desarrollo sostenible de sus comunidades. Sin embargo, es necesario considerar que la implementación de las TIC en la educación rural de Colombia requiere de un esfuerzo coordinado entre el Gobierno, las instituciones educativas, los docentes, los estudiantes y la comunidad en general. Es necesario invertir en infraestructura tecnológica, capacitar a los maestros en el uso de las TIC de manera pedagógica, y garantizar la conectividad y el acceso a recursos digitales en las zonas rurales más apartadas del país. En consecuencia, la presente investigación representa un aporte pedagógico y educativo con miras al potenciamiento del uso de las TIC en las zonas rurales; esto desde un enfoque cualitativo con un diseño centrado en la investigación acción, pensado desde el contexto, permitiendo al maestro conocer las múltiples posibilidades que tienen a disposición para la creación de ambientes virtuales, procesos de evaluación, implementación y manejo educativo de las TIC, consiguiendo con ello superar la mera instrumentalización de estas en el quehacer docente.  Information and Communication Technologies (TIC) in Colombia have experienced great growth and progress in recent years in terms of digital infrastructure, connectivity, and adoption of digital technologies in sectors such as education, allowing students to acquire the necessary skills to face the challenges of the 21st century and contribute to the sustainable development of their communities. However, it is necessary to consider that the implementation of TICs in rural education in Colombia requires a coordinated effort between the government, educational institutions, teachers, students, and the community in general. It is necessary to invest in technological infrastructure, train teachers in the pedagogical use of TICs, and ensure connectivity and access to digital resources in the most remote rural areas of the country. Consequently, this research represents a pedagogical and educational contribution with a view to enhancing the use of TIC in rural areas, this is from a qualitative approach with a design focused on action research, thought from the context, allowing the teacher to know the multiple possibilities available to them for the creation of virtual environments, evaluation processes, implementation and educational management of TIC, thereby overcoming the mere instrumentalization of these in the teaching task.
