Description:	El turismo sostenible se ha consolidado como una estrategia clave para equilibrar el desarrollo económico con la preservación del medio ambiente y el bienestar de las comunidades locales. Este estudio se enfoca en el municipio de La Plata, Huila, investigando las percepciones de la comunidad local sobre el turismo sostenible y su viabilidad como motor de desarrollo regional. A través de una encuesta aplicada a 150 residentes, se recopilaron datos relevantes que permiten evaluar las posibilidades de implementar prácticas sostenibles en la región. Los resultados destacan la importancia de un enfoque colaborativo que involucre a todos los actores del sector turístico, desde el gobierno y las empresas hasta la comunidad local, con el fin de crear un modelo de desarrollo más equitativo y responsable. La investigación subraya que, para lograr un turismo sostenible en La Plata, es esencial fortalecer la infraestructura local y fomentar la educación y participación comunitaria. La investigación destaca que el turismo sostenible en La Plata depende de fortalecer la infraestructura local, mejorar instalaciones turísticas y crear un entorno accesible para disfrutar los recursos naturales y culturales.
