Description:	Este proyecto investiga los principales obstáculos que enfrentarán las microempresas del Distrito de Santa Marta, con el objetivo de identificar limitaciones y proponer estrategias para su desarrollo sostenible y crecimiento económico. A través de unas encuesta y un enfoque cualitativo, se encontró que estas microempresas enfrentan dificultades significativas, como acceso limitado a financiamiento, escasa capacitación en gestión empresarial y baja adopción de tecnología. Estos factores internos se agravan por condiciones externas, como la inflación y políticas gubernamentales poco flexibles, que complican su capacidad de operar eficientemente y mejorar su competitividad, Se concluye que la falta de apoyo financiero y capacitación adecuada son barreras críticas que impiden el crecimiento de estas empresas. El proyecto recomienda fortalecer la formación gerencial y promover la adopción de nuevas tecnologías para mejorar la productividad. Asimismo, es esencial que las instituciones locales ofrezcan un entorno favorable, a través de políticas públicas que incentivan la digitalización y facilitan el acceso a recursos financieros. La colaboración entre empresarios e instituciones es clave para superar las barreras y asegurar un desarrollo sostenible, lo que permitirá a las microempresas de Santa Marta desempeñar un papel más significativo en la economía regional. This project investigates the main obstacles that microenterprises in the District of Santa Marta will face, with the objective of identifying limitations and proposing strategies for their sustainable development and economic growth. Through a survey and a qualitative approach, it was found that these microenterprises face significant difficulties, such as limited access to financing, little training in business management, and low adoption of technology. These internal factors are aggravated by external conditions, such as inflation and inflexible government policies, which complicate their ability to operate efficiently and improve their competitiveness. It is concluded that the lack of financial support and adequate training are critical barriers that prevent the growth of these companies. The project recommends strengthening management training and promoting the adoption of new technologies to improve productivity. Likewise, it is essential that local institutions offer a favorable environment, through public policies that encourage digitalization and facilitate access to financial resources. Collaboration between entrepreneurs and institutions is key to overcoming barriers and ensuring sustainable development, which will allow microbusinesses in Santa Marta to play a more significant role in the regional economy.
