Description:	Everything there is to talk about logistics and logistics flows has been said in the last 100 years. However, when researching the literature, looking for foundational elements of the structure that describes the passage of the logistics flow through the system and its components, although the "columns" and "foundations" of this construction are found, it can be seen from the logistics work a treatment of planning and control rather than physical management of the flow of materials, goods, services and operational information that is transparent in the processes of supply and distribution but that in production is assumed by this department. Assuming a systematic review of a historical-conceptual type, we seek to understand if this gap exists and the reasons why it is maintained, if it exists. If this is so, it becomes the starting point for studies that contribute to the solution of this apparent discontinuity and thus, give formal operational treatment to the Pipeline concept proposed by Bowersox. Pareciera que todo lo que hay que hablar sobre logística y flujos logísticos, ha sido dicho en los últimos 100 años. Sin embargo, al indagar la literatura, buscando elementos fundacionales de la estructura que describe el paso del flujo logístico a través del sistema y sus componentes, si bien se encuentra las “columnas” y los “cimientos” de dicha construcción, se aprecia desde la labor logística un tratamiento de planeación y control más que de manejo físico del flujo de materiales, bienes servicios e información operativa que si es transparente en los procesos de aprovisionamiento y distribución pero que en producción es asumido por este departamento. Asumiendo una revisión sistemática de tipo histórico - conceptual se busca entender si este gap existe y las razones que hacen que se mantenga, de existir. Si esto es así, se convierte en el punto de partida para estudios que aporten a la solución de esta aparente discontinuidad y con ello, dar formal tratamiento operativo al concepto de Pipeline que propuso Bowersox.
