| dc.description.abstract | Este estudio se propuso analizar el programa que se puede desarrollar para contribuir a la consolidación de una cultura ciudadana de respeto a la dignidad y los derechos de los animales de compañía en el Barrio Santa Rita de la ciudad de Bogotá. Para eso, se emplearon técnicas de investigación como la observación participante y la encuesta, que permitieron la identificación de desafíos significativos como la normalización del abandono. Sin embargo, la participación activa de la comunidad en los espacios de diálogo y reflexión demostró que existe un potencial transformador en el tejido social, capaz de resignificar la relación con los animales desde el cuidado, la empatía y la corresponsabilidad. Los hallazgos confirman la necesidad de avanzar hacia políticas integrales, fundamentadas en el paradigma Una Salud/Un Bienestar. | |

| dc.description.abstractenglish | This study aimed to analyze the program that can be developed to contribute to the consolidation of a citizen culture of respect for the dignity and rights of companion animals in the Santa Rita neighborhood of Bogotá. For this, research techniques such as participant observation and surveys were employed, which allowed the identification of significant challenges such as the normalization of abandonment. However, the active participation of the community in dialogue and reflection spaces demonstrated that there is a transformative potential in the social fabric, capable of re-signifying the relationship with animals through care, empathy, and co-responsibility. The findings confirm the need to move towards comprehensive policies grounded in the One Health/One Welfare paradigm. | |
