dc.description	The purpose of this paper is to expose the design of an early warning system that allows real-time monitoring of the flow of the Chorrera River in the city of Junín Cundinamarca, thus mitigating the impact of disasters caused by flooding and flooding of tributaries. This project is a response to the environmental concerns that have an impact on the social and economic aspects of the residents of the Chorrera river basin, since the river and the small basins grow unexpectedly during the rainy season, sometimes producing landslides, thus generating serious risk to the lives of the inhabitants and generating clogging of roads, preventing the exit of products and the entry of food. It seeks to generate an alternative to the measurement of the flow of the Chorrera River through hardware and software tools that transmit information wirelessly to receivers located directly in the communities that need this alert and monitoring service, which will be able to notify real time about a sudden increasing probability. Later, community leaders with this alert on their mobile phones via SMS and call will be able to alert the other members of the community and take the corresponding evacuation actions.	en
dc.description	El presente paper tiene como finalidad exponer el diseño de un sistema de alerta temprana que permita monitorear en tiempo real el caudal del río Chorrera en la ciudad de Junín Cundinamarca mitigando así el impacto de los desastres ocasionados por crecidas e inundaciones de los afluentes. Este proyecto es respuesta a las preocupaciones ambientales que impactan en los aspectos sociales y económicos de los vecinos de la cuenca del río Chorrera, ya que el río y las pequeñas cuencas crecen inesperadamente durante la temporada de lluvias, produciendo en ocasiones derrumbes, generando así grave riesgo para la vida de los pobladores y generando taponamiento de vías impidiendo la salida de productos y el ingreso de víveres. Se busca generar una alternativa a la medición del caudal del río Chorrera a través de herramientas de hardware y software que transmitan la información de forma inalámbrica a receptores ubicados directamente en las comunidades que necesitan este servicio de alerta y monitoreo, que será capaz de avisar en tiempo real acerca de una probabilidad de creciente súbita. Posteriormente los líderes comunitarios con esta alerta en sus teléfonos móviles vía SMS y llamada podrán alertar a los demás miembros de la comunidad y tomar las acciones correspondientes de evacuación.	es
