dc.description.abstract	En la media y alta Guajira existe un gran problema de desabastecimiento de agua potable, a pesar de contar con una fuente inagotable como lo es el Mar Caribe y la disponibilidad de plantas desalinadoras, pilas comunitarias, pozos reservorios y acuíferos, pero aun así se presenta un escenario confuso para el suministro de agua potable. El proyecto investigativo “ANÁLISIS DE FACTIBILIDAD PARA LA DESALINIZACIÓN DE AGUA DE MAR COMO SOLUCIÓN DEFINITIVA DE ACCESO PERMANENTE AL RECURSO HÍDRICO EN LA MEDIA Y ALTA GUAJIRA”, busca identificar las posibles causas que han generado el déficit de agua para consumo humano en la Alta y Media Guajira considerando el análisis técnico de las soluciones implementadas, el análisis conceptual y el análisis económico a través de la cuantificación de los beneficios. Con el análisis de factibilidad pretendemos establecer alternativas de mejora a los problemas detectados y describir algunas actividades que lleven a solucionar el desabastecimiento de agua contribuyendo así en gran medida al desarrollo territorial y el mejoramiento de la calidad de vida de la población indígena de esta región.	spa

dc.description.abstractenglish	In the middle and high Guajira there is a great problem of shortage of drinking water, despite having an inexhaustible source such as the Caribbean Sea and the availability of desalination plants, community batteries, reservoir wells and aquifers, but still it is presented a confusing scenario for the supply of drinking wáter. The research project “FEASIBILITY ANALYSIS FOR THE DESALINATION OF SEA WATER AS A DEFINITIVE SOLUTION OF PERMANENT ACCESS TO WATER RESOURCES IN THE MIDDLE AND HIGH GUAJIRA”, seeks to identify the possible causes that have generated the water deficit for human consumption in Alta and Media Guajira considering the technical analysis of the solutions implemented, the conceptual analysis and the economic analysis through the quantification of the benefits. With the feasibility analysis we intend to establish alternatives to improve the problems detected and describe some activities that lead to solve the water shortage, thus contributing greatly to the territorial development and improvement of the quality of life of the indigenous population of this región.	spa
