| dc.description.abstract | La demanda de arena silícea ordinaria como elemento fundamental en los procesos constructivos de la región, continua en aumento en el municipio de Tocancipá Cundinamarca, capital industrial del norte de la sabana y referente de crecimiento poblacional, lo que ha dado lugar a una creciente intervención de las formaciones montañosas que atraviesan el municipio, desencadenando un impacto ambiental importante en los ecosistemas, suelos, agua, aire, flora y fauna. En este contexto, se plantea realizar un estudio para analizar la afectación ambiental derivada de la explotación de arena silícea en la mina San Pedro del municipio de Tocancipá, la cual es la más grande del municipio y según reportes de inspecciones recientes, realizadas por organismos como la Corporación Autónoma Regional de Cundinamarca, no está cumpliendo con el Plan de Manejo Ambiental, afectando al medio físico circundante, por lo que surge la necesidad y pertinencia de identificar las actividades causantes de impactos ambientales y diagnosticar los tipos de afectación ambiental producto de la explotación en la mina y sus alrededores con la finalidad de evaluarlos, generando información que permita proponer medidas para prevenir, mitigar y/o corregir dichos efectos, promoviendo el aprovechamiento sustentable y sostenible del recurso. | spa |
