dc.description.abstract	IPS es una institución privada de salud ubicada en Tunja (Boyacá) que presta servicios a aproximadamente 100 pacientes diariamente, tanto de empresas como de usuarios particulares de todo el país. En la actualidad, la organización enfrenta problemas relacionados con la seguridad informática, específicamente en lo que respecta a la vulnerabilidad de datos sensibles dentro de su estructura organizativa.

dc.description.abstractenglish	This research analyzes the vulnerabilities of sensitive data managed within the health information systems of the company IPS. in Tunja, Boyacá. The study focuses on the challenges related to data privacy and security in the provision of healthcare services, highlighting the risks that arise from inadequate protection mechanisms. A qualitative approach was applied through document review and case analysis, identifying critical gaps in information management practices. The findings reveal the urgent need for robust security measures to safeguard patient data, ensure regulatory compliance, and strengthen trust in digital health systems. This work emphasizes the importance of implementing effective data protection strategies and establishes a framework that may guide healthcare organizations in mitigating vulnerabilities and enhancing information security.
