Description:	Current Psychotherapy has a narrative emphasis on individual experiences, based on which the intervention tends to use the word as a means of expression and communication. The article summarizes the current situation and refers to the tradition of so-called “talking cure” to indicate the primary function of the word in the constitution of community, humanity and thereforeethically oriented social fulfillment. La psicoterapia actual tiene un énfasis narrativo en las experiencias individuales, con fundamento en las cuales la intervención tiende a utilizar la palabra como instrumento de expresión y de comunicación. El artículo sintetiza la situación actual y se refiere a la tradición de las denominadas “talking cure”, para indicar la función primordial de la palabra en la constitución de comunidad, humanidad y por consiguiente, desarrollo social éticamente orientado a la realización personal.
