dc.description.abstractenglish | Latin American thought has historically been limited by the imposition of Eurocentrism as an ideological system of thought, which, from the time of the conquest to the present day, has been the constant evidence of a relationship of domination and dependence between thought American and European, the former being a peripheral and little recognized type of thinking, in contrast to Eurocentric thinking, which occupies a central place and has greater epistemological authority, thus establishing a dominant position. These strategies of domination are implemented from different fronts and pedagogical technologies, causing a diversity of pathologies that prevent self-recognition and the total emancipation of Latin American peoples. For this reason, from the philosophical proposal of Enrique Dussel, the concept of transmodernity is deepened as an alternative way to the domination of Eurocentric thought, in order to build autochthonous and emancipated forms of thought that respond to the needs of the periphery instead of reproduce systems of domination.
