| dc.description.abstract | La problemática ambiental se refleja en varias entidades prestadoras del servicio de salud, las cuales no cumplen con rigidez y en gran parte no tiene su sistema de gestión ambiental SGA implementado adecuado tal como lo requiere la norma 14001:2015, que busca un equilibrio entre el medio ambiente, la sociedad y la economía considerándose algo esencial para satisfacer las necesidades de la población. La salud pública y ambiental es de gran importancia en los territorios colombianos; actualmente a nivel mundial se ha presentado una emergencia sanitaria, donde Colombia no fue la excepción, dándose diversos casos de contagio (ministerio de salud y protección social, 2020) de los cuales un gran porcentaje asistieron y continúan asistiendo a hospitales para recibir asistencia médica, por lo cual la generación de residuos hospitalarios durante el año 2020 y transcurso del año 2021 han incrementado, evidenciado el gran impacto medioambiental que genera un hospital por residuos hospitalarios Infecciosos o de Riesgo Biológico. | |

| dc.description.abstractenglish | The environmental problem is reflected in several entities that provide health services, which do not comply with rigidity and to a large extent do not have their EMS environmental management system implemented properly as required by the 14001: 2015 standard, which seeks a balance between the environment, society and the economy being considered essential to satisfy the needs of the population. Public and environmental health is of great importance in the Colombian territories; Currently, there has been a global health emergency, where Colombia was not the exception, with various cases of contagion (Ministry of Health and Social Protection, 2020) of which a large percentage attended and continue to attend hospitals to receive medical assistance, For this reason, the generation of hospital waste during 2020 and the course of 2021 has increased, evidencing the great environmental impact that a hospital generates due to Infectious or Biological Hazard hospital waste. | |
