dc.description.abstractEl municipio de Timaná, ubicado en el departamento de Huila, es un tesoro con una rica historia, cultura y belleza natural. A pesar de ser el municipio más antiguo del Huila, enfrenta desafíos en el desarrollo turístico, como la dependencia de la producción de café, la emigración de la población local y la falta de infraestructura turística. A través de este proyecto, el objetivo es difundir información turística sobre Timana, destacando su historia, cultura y atractivos naturales como el parque central, los baños termales de Sicana y la Caverna de Santa Clara. El objetivo principal es explorar el potencial turístico de Timana para generar un desarrollo que beneficie a la comunidad local, preserve el patrimonio y promueva el turismo sostenible. A pesar de obstáculos como la falta de visibilidad, el proyecto tiene una visión integral, buscando mejorar la calidad de vida de los residentes, promover la inclusión social y reducir la pobreza a través del turismo. Destaca la importancia de enriquecer a la comunidad local, proteger y compartir la riqueza cultural y natural de Timana. Este enfoque integral presenta a Timaná como un destino turístico único en Colombia, con el propósito no solo de atraer visitantes, sino también de contribuir al bienestar de la comunidad y asegurar la preservación a largo plazo de su patrimonio.

dc.description.abstractenglishThe municipality of Timaná, located in the department of Huila, is a treasure with a rich history, culture and natural beauty. Despite being the oldest municipality in Huila, it faces challenges in tourism development, such as dependence on coffee production, the emigration of the local population and the lack of tourist infrastructure. Through this project, the aim is to disseminate tourist information about Timana, highlighting its history, culture and natural attractions such as the central park, the thermal baths of Sicana and the Cavern of Santa Clara. The main objective is to explore the tourism potential of Timana to generate a development that benefits the local community, preserves the heritage and promotes sustainable tourism. Despite obstacles such as lack of visibility, the project has a comprehensive vision, seeking to improve the quality of life of residents, promote social inclusion and reduce poverty through tourism. It highlights the importance of enriching the local community, protecting and sharing the cultural and natural wealth of Timana. This comprehensive approach presents Timaná as a unique tourist destination in Colombia, with the purpose of not only attracting visitors, but also contributing to the well-being of the community and ensuring the long-term preservation of its heritage.
