| dc.description.abstract | El objetivo de esta actividad es reducir la tasa de incidencia del virus VIH en los habitantes de los municipios del Departamento del Quindío, dado que, los indicadores muestran que en esta región el índice es muy alto. Por ello, y conforme a los datos y análisis presentados en el boletín epidemiológico del período XII del año 2024, existe en el Quindío un porcentaje elevado de personas infectadas con VIH. Además, el municipio de Armenia registra el mayor número de casos de VIH en Colombia. Por esta razón, la propuesta incluye estrategias orientadas al control y manejo de la propagación del virus, al tratarse de un problema de salud pública es fundamental tomar medidas pertinentes y urgentes, porque la situación afecta significativamente la economía y el sistema de salud en Colombia. Las acciones están dirigidas principalmente a las personas que ya han contraído el virus y a personas susceptibles al contagio, mediante controles exhaustivos y promoviendo estrategias de autocuidado para evitar la expansión del virus. | |

| dc.description.abstractenglish | The objective of this activity is to reduce the incidence rate of the HIV virus in the inhabitants of the municipalities of the Department of Quindío, given that the indicators show that in this region the rate is very high. Therefore, and according to the data and analysis presented in the epidemiological bulletin for period XII of the year 2024, there is a high percentage of people infected with HIV in Quindío. In addition, the municipality of Armenia has the highest number of HIV cases in Colombia. For this reason, the proposal includes strategies aimed at controlling and managing the spread of the virus, as it is a public health problem it is essential to take relevant and urgent measures, because the situation significantly affects the economy and the health system in Colombia. Actions are primarily aimed at individuals who have already contracted the virus and those susceptible to infection, through comprehensive controls and the promotion of self-care strategies to prevent the spread of the virus. | |
