El Páramo El Almorzadero, located in the municipality of El Cerrito, Santander, is a strategic ecosystem that plays essential roles in water regulation, carbon capture, and biodiversity conservation. The El Púlpito farm, situated in this area, lacks a structured ecotourism offer, limiting local economic development opportunities and underusing its environmental conservation potential. Additionally, the community sees tourism as an unviable economic alternative due to the lack of information, training, and previous experience in tourism management. A review of previous research shows that sustainable ecotourism can be an effective strategy to combine environmental conservation and economic development, provided there is proper planning and recognized project management methodologies, like PMBOK, which allow initiatives to be structured, executed, and monitored in an organized and sustainable way. In this context, the working hypothesis suggests that by applying the PMBOK methodology, it will be possible to design a sustainable ecotourism plan for the El Púlpito farm, creating a tourism offer that is environmentally responsible, innovative, and focused on the community's economic development, while promoting the conservation of the páramo and the sustainable use of its natural resources.
