El presente artículo tuvo como objetivo desarrollar una revisión sistemática sobre la telepsicología. Se buscó y logró sintetizar la literatura internacional existente sobre dicho término. La metodología empleada fue de enfoque cualitativo, ya que permite generar un análisis del fenómeno para su comprensión. Después de estudiar los 30 artículos seleccionados a través de la búsqueda en Scielo, Dialnet,  Researchgate, Science Direct,  Proquest, Ebsco Host, Publindex, Scopus, Redalyc y Google Académico se podría considerar la extensión del término a diferentes casos, campos y usos dentro de la psicología; para finalizar, se evidenció una falta de estudios empíricos en Latinoamérica y en Colombia; por lo tanto, se podría concluir que muchas de las características del término han logrado cobrar importancia en otros países del mundo.This article presents a systematic review of telepsychology that includes a synthesis of current international literature on the subject. The research was carried on following a qualitative approach, since it allows the generation of detailed analysis of the studied phenomenon. 30 articles were selected from a search in Scielo, Dialnet, Researchgate, Science Direct, Proquest, Ebsco Host, Publindex, Scopus Redalyc and Google Scholar. With this it was possible to measure the extension of the term in different cases, fields and uses within psychology. This showed a lack of empirical studies in Latin America and Colombia, therefore it is safe to conclude that many of the characteristics of the term have become important in other countries of the world.
