dc.description	One of the organization’s major problems is related with programming of the deliveries to their customers due to the high number of restrictions that must be considered when scheduling delivery routes. To study this phenomenon, the vehicle route problem (VRP) emerged, which has captured the interest of the scientific community associated with logistics management and route assignment given its adaptability to various case studies. Since its conception, the VRP has evolved based on the needs of various sectors and the dynamics of organizations, resulting in different variants, methodologies for its application and solution methods. The objective of this research is to highlight the most frequently used variants and methodologies and the differences between each of them.	en
dc.description	Uno de los principales problemas en las organizaciones es la programación de entregas de los pedidos a sus clientes debido al alto número de restricciones que se deben tener en cuenta al momento de programar las rutas de entrega. Para estudiar este fenómeno surgió el problema de ruteo de vehículos (VRP por sus siglas en inglés) el cual ha captado el interés de la comunidad científica asociada a la gestión logística y asignación de rutas dada su adaptabilidad a diversos casos de estudio. Desde su concepción, el VRP ha ido evolucionando en función de las necesidades de diversos sectores y las dinámicas de las organizaciones, derivando en distintas variantes, metodologías para su aplicación y métodos de solución. El objetivo de esta investigación es resaltar las variantes y metodologías usadas con mayor frecuencia y las diferencias existentes entre cada una de ellas.	es
