| dc.description.abstract | El presente trabajo contiene la investigación sobre la disminución de las matriculas iniciales particulares en la ciudad de Barranquilla, proceso que realiza la Secretaria Distrital de Transito y Seguridad Vial de Barranquilla.
En el periodo de 2011 2013 Barranquilla se posicionaba entre las 3 primeras ciudades de Colombia donde se realizaba el mayor número de matrículas iniciales particulares; esta cifra ha decrecido, razón por la cual se procedió a investigar las causas que lo origina.
Se realizó un censo a todos los concesionarios de la ciudad de Barranquilla con interrogantes que permitirán conocer o establecer las posibles causas que conllevan a que muchos compradores de carros decidan matricular sus vehículos en otros organismos de transito del Departamento del Atlántico y Colombia y establecer también que percepción tienen sobre el servicio de la Secretaria Distrital de Transito y Seguridad Vial de la Ciudad de Barranquilla, así como de otros aspectos relacionados con el tema de ciudad.
Esta investigación propone recomendaciones a la Secretaria Distrital de Transito y Seguridad Vial de Barranquilla para mejorar la prestación de sus servicio y crear nuevas estrategias que permitan el incremento de las matriculas iniciales en la ciudad y de esta manera también se puedan hacen inversiones que permitan el mejoramiento de la malla vial, señalización y semaforización y de esta manera mejorar el tema de tránsito en la ciudad y disminuir los índices de accidentalidad. | spa |

| dc.description.abstractenglish | The present work contains the research on the reduction of the initial enrollments in the city of Barranquilla, a process that the District Secretary of Transit and Road Safety of Barranquilla.
In the period of 2013 Barranquilla was positioned among the first 3 cities in Colombia where the largest number of private initial registrations was made; this figure has decreased, which is why we proceeded to investigate the causes that originate it.
A census was made to all concessionaires in the city of Barranquilla with questions that will allow them to know or establish the possible causes that cause many car buyers to choose to register their vehicles in other transit agencies of the Department of the Atlantic and Colombia and also establish that Perception have on the service of the District Secretary of Transit and Road Safety of the City of Barranquilla, as well as other aspects related to the city theme.
This research proposes recommendations to the District Secretary of Transit and Road Safety of Barranquilla to improve the delivery of their services and create new strategies that allow the increase of the initial enrollment in the city and in this way can also make investments that allow the improvement Of the road mesh, signaling and traffic light and thus improve the traffic issue in the city and decrease the accident rates.
