| dc.description.abstract | Entre las enfermedades de mayor incidencia en el departamento del valle del cauca ubicación en la que estamos todo el grupo colaborativo y el cual elegimos, se decidió trabajar en la enfermedad más representativa y de mayor incidencia al observar estadísticas e información del Cáncer de Cuello uterino causado por un virus llamado virus del Papiloma Humano (VPH). Este virus se contagia por contacto sexual, el cuerpo de la mayoría de las mujeres es capaz de combatir la infección de VPH, pero algunas veces, el virus conduce a un cáncer. Esta enfermedad es estudiada mediante investigación sobre su historia natural, reportes estadísticos de su comportamiento durante los últimos 10 años y los diferentes Programas y eventos que se realizan para controlarla y disminuir su impacto en el departamento por todas las instituciones implicadas como alcaldía, gobernación, EPS e instituciones prestadoras de servicios de salud etc. | spa |

| dc.description.abstractenglish | Among the diseases of highest incidence in the department of Valle del Cauca, where we are the whole collaborative group and which we chose, we decided to work on the most representative disease and the highest incidence when looking at statistics and information about Cervical Cancer caused by a virus called Human Papillomavirus (HPV). This virus is spread by sexual contact, the body of most women is able to fight the HPV infection, but sometimes, the virus leads to cancer. This disease is studied through research on its natural history, statistical reports on its behavior during the last 10 years and the different Programs and events that are carried out to control it and reduce its impact on the department by all the institutions involved as mayor, government, EPS and institutions providing health services, etc. | spa |
