Se diagnosticaron las transformaciones de la ecorregión de Sogamoso (Colombia) por efecto de políticas de desarrollo municipal enfocadas en el desarrollo urbano e industrial. Estas transformaciones se han manifestado en la disminución de cobertura forestal nativa y la presencia de ecosistemas estratégicos proveedores de servicios ambientales a la ecorregión conformada por Nobsa, Monguí, Iza, Firavitoba, Aquitania, Cuítiva y Sogamoso. El diagnóstico demostró que este municipio está muy lejos de ser un agente integrador y que sus relaciones con las zonas rurales son meramente urbanocéntricasTransformations in the Eco region of Sogamoso (Colombia) were diagnosed as a result of the municipal development policies focused on the urban and industrial development. These changes have manifested themselves in the diminishment of the native forest coverage and the presence of strategic ecosystems and environmental service providers to the Eco region which consists of Nobsa, Mongui, Iza, Firavitoba, Aquitania, Cuitiva and Sogamoso. The diagnosis showed that this town is far from being an integrator agent, and that its relations with the rural areas are merely central-urban ones.
