Este artículo presenta el análisis de las agendas periodísticas de tres medios nacionales (El Tiempo, El Espectador y Semana Rural) y uno local (El Nuevo Día) sobre las comunidades indígenas y campesinas del departamento del Tolima entre los años 2013 y 2020. A través de un análisis de contenido cualitativo se establecieron categorías para identificar los temas de los 88 artículos encontrados y la existencia de un enfoque sociocultural sobre estas comunidades, por encima del enfoque productivo, relacionado con la eficiencia y eficacia en los procesos agrícolas para movilizar la economía, a pesar de ciertas consideraciones ambientales o culturales de los territorios. Se logró determinar que las noticias se enfocan en temas coyunturales como el Paro Agrario y la minga indígena, pero dejan de lado aspectos centrales de la identidad de estas comunidades y las razones por las que luchan por sus derechos. Lo anterior se evidencia a través de un cubrimiento parcial sobre estos temas, que no se mantiene durante los ocho años indagados; se evidencia que se prefieren géneros informativos y fuentes oficiales, y no fuentes de las comunidades que hablen de ellas mismas para que así no sean narradas desde actores ajenos a sus contextos.This article presents the analysis of the journalistic agendas of three national media (El Tiempo, El Espectador and Semana Rural) and a local one (El Nuevo Día) regarding the indigenous and peasant communities of the department of Tolima between the years 2013 and 2020. Through a qualitative content analysis, categories were established to identify the themes of the 88 articles found and the existence of a socio-cultural approach to these communities above the productive approach, related to the efficiency and effectiveness of agricultural processes to mobilize the economy, despite certain environmental or cultural considerations of the territories. It was determined that the news focused on relevant issues such as the agrarian strike and the indigenous minga, but they left out central aspects of the identity of these communities and the reasons why they are fighting for their rights. This is evidenced by a partial coverage of these issues, which has not been maintained during the eight years investigated. Informative genres and official sources are privileged over sources from these communities that speak about themselves so that they are not narrated by other actors outside their contexts.
