| dc.description.abstract | Este trabajo de investigación se planteó como objetivo general determinar las estrategias para minimizar la deserción estudiantil en la sede educativa Débora Guerrero Lozano zona rural del municipio de Tuluá, Valle del Cauca. Para realizar este trabajo se adelantó una revisión de fuentes de información secundaria en las que se aborda la problemática de la deserción escolar; se aplicó la técnica de la observación participante al interior de la sede educativa y se realizaron dos talleres con diez estudiantes de la sede que abandonaron sus estudios en el año 2021; a través de actividades lúdicas los menores reflexionaron sobre qué le mejorarían a su escuela, describieron su escuela ideal y relataron alguna de las experiencias que vivieron en el entorno escolar. Se percibe en los aportes de los menores que existen deficiencias a nivel estructural, de dotación de la escuela y de interés por parte de los docentes; no se fomenta en los estudiantes el sentido de pertenencia hacia la institución educativa y no se les motiva a permanecer en ella pues los contenidos y las metodologías aplicadas no les llegan a los estudiantes. También se aplicaron entrevistas abiertas a la coordinadora, docentes de la sede rural, líderes comunitarios y padres de familia para conocer su percepción acerca del fenómeno de la deserción escolar y cómo afecta esta problemática al desarrollo de la comunidad. Se recomienda que a las estrategias diseñadas desde el Ministerio de Educación Nacional se les dé mayor difusión y que a nivel de la institución educativa se apoyen otras estrategias propuestas desde la comunidad que se ajustan a la realidad social de la sede educativa, se espera que las personas encargadas de la administración del servicio educativo a nivel municipal adelanten las gestiones pertinentes para implementar estas estrategias y así beneficiar a todos los miembros de la comunidad educativa sobre todo a los estudiantes que hacen parte de grupos de población vulnerable. | |

| dc.description.abstractenglish | The general objective of this research work was to determine the strategies to minimize student dropout in the Débora Guerrero Lozano educational center in the rural area of the municipality of Tuluá, Valle del Cauca. To carry out this work, a review of secondary sources of information was carried out in which the problem of school dropout is addressed; the technique of participant observation was applied inside the educational venue and two workshops were held with ten students from the campus who dropped out of school in 2021; Through playful activities, the children reflected on what they would improve in their school, described their ideal school and recounted some of the experiences they lived in the school environment. It is perceived in the contributions of the minors that there are deficiencies at the structural level, in the provision of the school and in the interest of the teachers; Students are not fostered a sense of belonging to the educational institution and are not motivated to stay in it because the contents and methodologies applied do not reach the students. Open interviews were also conducted with the coordinator, teachers from the rural headquarters, community leaders and parents to find out their perception of the phenomenon of school dropout and how this problem affects the development of the community. It is recommended that the strategies designed by the Ministry of National Education be given greater dissemination and that at the level of the educational institution support other strategies proposed by the community that adjust to the social reality of the educational headquarters, it is expected that the people in charge of the administration of the educational service at the municipal level take the pertinent steps to implement these strategies and thus benefit all members of the educational community, especially students who are part of vulnerable population groups. | |
