dc.description.abstract	Por medio de este trabajo se quiso conocer e indagar sobre la adherencia al tratamiento de antirretrovirales en pacientes diagnosticados con VIH/SIDA; es por esto que se hizo una investigación de la cual participaron seis pacientes entre los 23 - 68 años de edad positivos para VIH del barrio Sevilla en la ciudad de Medellín, estos dieron respuesta a un cuestionario el cual se realizó de manera voluntaria y bajo un consentimiento informado para protección de sus datos; con este trabajo se quiere conocer si los pacientes se adhieren o no a los tratamientos y cuales variables pueden presentarse para que no lo hagan, dado a que existen muchos factores que pueden interferir ya sea por problemas socioeconómicos, familiares, efectos adversos, entre otros. Analizando los resultados obtenidos en la encuesta, podemos deducir que cuatro de los pacientes se adhieren a los tratamientos, ya que cuenta con ayuda profesional, son constantes con la administración de los medicamentos y no cuentan con más enfermedades de base que puedan interferir también en esta adherencia; dos de estos pacientes no se adhieren, debido a que han presentado efectos adversos con el tratamiento y uno de ellos ha tenido que suspender el medicamento debido a este evento.

dc.description.abstractenglish	Through this work we wanted to know and investigate adherence to antiretroviral treatment in patients diagnosed with HIV/SIDA; This is why an investigation was carried out in which six HIV-positive patients between 23 - 68 years of age from the Sevilla neighborhood in the city of Medellín participated. They responded to a questionnaire which was carried out voluntarily and under a informed consent for the protection of your data; With this work we want to know whether patients adhere or not to the treatments and what variables may arise that prevent them from doing so, given that there are many factors that can interfere, whether due to socioeconomic or family problems, adverse effects, among others. Analyzing the results obtained in the survey, we can deduce that four of the patients adhere to the treatments, since they have professional help, they are consistent with the administration of the medications, and they do not have any other underlying diseases that could also interfere with this. adherence, two of these patients do not adhere, because they have had adverse effects with the treatment and one of them has had to stop the medication due to this event.
