| dc.description.abstract | Avient Colombia SAS es una subsidiaria de Avient Corporation que tiene su oficina principal en Suiza y como casa matriz se encarga de establecer los estándares de funcionamiento de cada una de las filiales en el mundo, tiene presencia en más de 100 países mediante, bien sea, en su representación industrial o con el suministro de materia prima dedicada. Avient tiene desarrollo industrial en áreas como la construcción, energía, cuidado personal, textiles, telecomunicaciones, polímeros y otros más, a nivel Colombia tiene como objetivo la innovación y desarrollo de polímeros, pigmentos, aditivos que tienen como materia prima la industria petroquímica y que tiene como destino la industria del plástico. Analizando los procesos productivos de Avient se observa, que existen aspectos que salen del control de calidad, este tipo de no conformidades ocurren por falta de control sobre la operación, por realización de malos cálculos en la proyección de los estimados o incluso mezclas inadecuadas, lo que genera pérdidas a nivel productivo y de almacenamiento. Del 100% de materia prima que llega se pierde aproximadamente un 3%, que no solo afecta los costos operativos, también genera gastos de almacenamiento y a la larga pérdidas a nivel productivo y también a nivel medioambiental. De un promedio de 250 toneladas de materia prima que ingresan mensualmente se pierden un aproximado de 15 toneladas que, aunque en los indicadores no es una cifra significativa sí lo es a nivel de gestión. Recuperar el producto terminado que no está destinado para uso final es el principal objetivo que se traza durante el desarrollo de esta actividad. Se espera con este trabajo plasmar la realización de este proceso para que sea replicable a futuro. | |

Avient has industrial development in areas such as construction, energy, personal care, textiles, telecommunications, polymers and others. In Colombia, its objective is the innovation and development of polymers, pigments, additives that have as raw material the petrochemical industry and are destined for the plastics industry. Analyzing Avient's production processes, it is observed that there are aspects that go beyond quality control, this type of nonconformities occur due to lack of control over the operation, due to bad calculations in the projection of estimates or even inadequate mixtures, which generates losses at the production and storage level. Of the 100% of raw material that arrives, approximately 3% is lost, which not only affects operating costs, but also generates storage expenses and, in the long run, losses at the production level and also at the environmental level. Of an average of 250 tons of raw materials entering the plant each month, approximately 15 tons are lost, which, although it is not a significant figure in terms of indicators, it is significant in terms of management.
