| dc.description.abstract | El presente documento se centra expone el estudio realizado a través de una exhaustiva revisión de artículos, páginas web y noticias locales sobre las obras inconclusas también llamados “elefantes blancos” en la ciudad de Duitama, se identificaron y documentaron varios casos de proyectos que, a pesar de las significativas inversiones realizadas, no han logrado cumplir con los objetivos planteados cuyas consecuencias han repercutido en el ambiente, la economía y confianza de la ciudadanía.
Para complementar la información recopilada, se llevaron a cabo entrevistas con los ciudadanos, quienes aportaron valiosos testimonios y perspectivas sobre las causas y consecuencias de estos proyectos fallidos. Además, se realizaron encuestas para tantear el conocimiento de los ciudadanos sobre estos casos y la percepción de la comunidad sobre esta problemática.
Con el objetivo de comunicar de manera más efectiva los hallazgos de la investigación, se elaboraron caricaturas que representaban de forma gráfica y humorística los casos de elefantes blancos más emblemáticos, las cuales fueron expuestas en puntos estratégicos de la ciudad y compartidas en redes sociales. Estas ilustraciones, basadas en los datos recopilados resultaron ser una herramienta poderosa para visibilizar el problema y generar conciencia en la comunidad. | |

To complement the information collected, interviews were carried out with citizens, who provided valuable testimonies and perspectives on the causes and consequences of these failed projects. In addition, surveys were carried out to test citizens' knowledge of these cases and the community's perception of this problem.
With the aim of communicating the research findings more effectively, caricatures were created that graphically and humorously represented the most emblematic cases of white elephants, which were displayed at strategic points in the city and shared on social networks. These illustrations, based on the data collected, turned out to be a powerful tool to make the problem visible and raise awareness in the community. | |
