| dc.description.abstract | A través de la herramienta análisis multicriterio se pretenden estudiar las clases de riesgo de inundaciones que pueden presentarse en el municipio de Valledupar en las temporadas de lluvias o de mayor precipitación, asignándole una valoración cuantitativa que permita determinar qué zonas presentan mayor o menor amenazas. El municipio de Valledupar se encuentra rodeado de un sistema montañoso la sierra nevada de santa Marta al occidente de la ciudad y al oriente la serranía del Perijá, de acuerdo con su ubicación geográfica siendo el sur de la ciudad la zona de mayor vulnerabilidad en cuanto a posibles inundaciones. Con el apoyo de esta herramienta se puede identificar esas áreas vulnerables, así como las comunidades que habitan cerca a estos lugares. | |

| dc.description.abstractenglish | The multi-criteria analysis tool is used to study the types of flood risk that may occur in the municipality of Valledupar during the rainy or heavy seasons, assigning a quantitative assessment to determine which areas are more or less at risk. The municipality of Valledupar is surrounded by a mountain range, the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta to the west of the city and the Serranía del Perijá to the east, according to its geographic location, with the south of the city being the area of greatest vulnerability in terms of possible flooding. With the help of this tool, these vulnerable areas can be identified, as well as the communities that live near these places. | |
