| dc.description.abstract | El presente estudio define el riesgo de inundación que pueda existir durante el mes de noviembre
en el municipio de Montenegro, Quindío, el cual es uno de los meses más lluvioso del año,
analizando información geográfica y procesándola a través del Software ArcGIS Pro, empleando
el sistema de coordenadas MAGNA-SIRGAS CMT12, el cual es el sistema de referencia espacial
determinado por el IGAC para Colombia, de igual forma se emplean las herramientas de
geoprocesos y análisis multicriterio, en donde se tomaron en cuenta factores como el porcentaje de
inclinación o pendiente en todo el territorio, los ríos, cuencas y/o drenajes que recorren el
municipio, el mapa de cobertura de tierras, para determinar las diferentes actividades que allí se
desarrollan, así como la utilización de modelos de elevación digital que mediante un análisis
multicriterio, es posible determinar el factor de riesgo sobre determinadas áreas del municipio el
cual fue catalogado de 1 a 10, en donde a mayor valor, mayor es el riesgo de inundación. Como
resultado se obtuvo que el 71,54 Km2 del área del municipio de Montenegro, se encuentran en un
nivel de riesgo alto y muy alto (entre 7 y 10), riesgo de inundación que representa el 48,9% del
total de la extensión del municipio. | |

| dc.description.abstractenglish | This study defines the risk of flooding that may exist during the month of November
in the municipality of Montenegro, Quindío, which is one of the rainiest months of the year,
analyzing geographic information and processing it through the ArcGIS Pro Software, using
the MAGNA-SIRGAS CMT12 coordinate system, which is the spatial reference system
determined by the IGAC for Colombia, in the same way the tools of geoprocessing and multicriteria analysis are used, where factors such as the percentage of
inclination or slope in the entire territory, the rivers, basins and/or drains that run through the
municipality, the land cover map, were taken into account to determine the different activities that are
developed there, as well as the use of digital elevation models that through a multicriteria analysis, it is possible to determine the risk factor on certain areas of the municipality which was classified from 1 to 10, where the higher the value, the higher is the risk of flooding. As a result, it was found that 71.54 km2 of the area of the municipality of Montenegro are at a high and very high risk level (between 7 and 10), a risk of flooding that represents 48.9% of the total area of the municipality. | |
