| dc.description.abstract | El presente estudio tiene como objetivo diseñar una propuesta de intervención para
reducir la tasa de morbimortalidad por VIH-SIDA en el municipio de Pereira, Risaralda,
enfocándose en hombres de 23 a 45 años. La problemática del VIH ha representado un desafío
significativo para la salud pública, y su impacto en la población masculina requiere estrategias
específicas de intervención. Para abordar esta situación, se establecen tres objetivos específicos.
Primero, se busca promover la educación sexual mediante campañas preventivas que fomenten la
concienciación sobre el VIH-SIDA, su transmisión y métodos de prevención. La información
adecuada y accesible es fundamental para cambiar conductas de riesgo y reducir nuevas
infecciones. En segundo lugar, se pretende analizar el aumento de casos positivos en hombres,
identificando los factores de riesgo predominantes y las razones detrás del incremento de
diagnósticos en este grupo etario. Esto permitirá diseñar estrategias de intervención más
focalizadas y efectivas. Por último, se propone incrementar el conocimiento sobre el VIH-SIDA
en hombres de Pereira, asegurando que la información llegue a la población de manera clara y
comprensible. La educación y la prevención son herramientas clave para mitigar la propagación
del virus y reducir las tasas de morbimortalidad asociadas a la enfermedad. | |

| dc.description.abstractenglish | The purpose of this study is to design an intervention proposal aimed at reducing the morbidity and mortality rate due to HIV/AIDS in the municipality of Pereira, Risaralda, focusing on men between 23 and 45 years of age. The HIV issue has posed a significant challenge to public health, and its impact on the male population requires specific intervention strategies.
To address this situation, three specific objectives have been established. First, the goal is to promote sexual education through preventive campaigns that raise awareness about HIV/AIDS, its transmission, and prevention methods. Providing adequate and accessible information is essential to changing risky behaviors and reducing new infections.
Second, the aim is to analyze the increase in positive cases among men, identifying the predominant risk factors and the reasons behind the rise in diagnoses within this age group. This will allow for the design of more targeted and effective intervention strategies.
Finally, the proposal seeks to increase knowledge about HIV/AIDS among men in Pereira, ensuring that the information reaches the population in a clear and understandable manner.
