| dc.description.abstract | Este articulo destaca la innovación implementada por EcoCraft un emprendiendo social
que transforma residuos de madera de arrastre o rescatada en productos artesanales mediante la
aplicación de técnicas manuales creando productos únicos y al mismo tiempo poner en práctica el
concepto de economía circular en Puerto Salgar, Cundinamarca. El objetivo de este estudio radico
en analizar las diferentes variables que sumaron para que esta iniciativa se ejecute de forma exitosa
y comprender también las adversidades que enfrentan al trabajar bajo el contexto de economía
circular. Se implemento una metodología de carácter cualitativo con enfoque participativo en
donde se realizaron entrevistas semiestructuradas, grupos focales y visitas de campo para obtener
información base para desarrollar el análisis pertinente lo cual dejo como resultado que EcoCraft
ha generado un impacto positivo en la comunidad, esto mediante la promoción de la creatividad y
empoderamiento de los artesanos que ha generado un mayor reconocimiento a su profesión.
Asimismo, se ha generado sentido de pertenencia en la comunidad de la región, aportando a la
sostenibilidad ambiental al reducir la generación de residuos. No obstante, también se detectaron
problemáticas en cuanto a la sostenibilidad financiera y escalabilidad del modelo de negocio. Se
concluyo que, a pesar de los logros alcanzados, es necesario fortalecer la gestión empresarial, la
imagen corporativa, diversificar las fuentes de ingresos y ampliar a otros mercados para poder
garantizar la ejecución a largo plazo del proyecto. | |

| dc.description.abstractenglish | This article highlights the innovation implemented by EcoCraft, a social enterprise that
transforms wood waste or salvaged wood into handcrafted products through the application of
manual techniques creating unique products and at the same time putting into practice the concept
of circular economy in Puerto Salgar, Cundinamarca. The objective of this study was to analyze
the different variables that contributed to the successful implementation of this initiative and to
understand the adversities faced when working in the context of circular economy. A qualitative
methodology was implemented with a participatory approach where semi-structured interviews,
focus groups and field visits were conducted to obtain base information to develop the relevant
analysis, which left as a result that EcoCraft has generated a positive impact on the community,
this through the promotion of creativity and empowerment of artisans that has generated greater
recognition to their profession. It has also generated a sense of belonging in the community of the
region, contributing to environmental sustainability by reducing waste generation. However,
problems were also detected in terms of financial sustainability and scalability of the business
model. It was concluded that, despite the achievements, it is necessary to strengthen the business
management, the corporate image, diversify the sources of income and expand to other markets in
order to ensure the long-term execution of the project. | |
